Why zoysia does well here

Central Arkansas summers are hot and humid, and our soils range from clay to rocky. You want a grass that handles heat, tolerates some foot traffic, and forms a dense, even lawn. That's why Matrella zoysia — the variety we grow on our own farm — is a strong choice for many yards in the Hot Springs area: it's fine-bladed, forms a thick carpet that crowds out weeds, and holds up to our summers.

How much sod you need

Sod is sold by the pallet, and one pallet of Matrella zoysia covers about 450 square feet. To estimate your project, measure the length and width of each area you want covered, multiply them, and add the areas together. Our sod calculator turns that number into a pallet count and price instantly.

What sod costs in our area

Our sod is $250 per pallet plus applicable sales tax. Local delivery is a flat $300 for 1–8 pallets within 30 miles of the farm; beyond that a small per-mile charge applies. You can pick up at the farm, have it delivered, or have us install it for you. So a typical 1,200 sq ft lawn — about 3 pallets — runs around $1,050 delivered, plus tax.

Pickup, delivery, or installed

If you're comfortable prepping and laying it yourself, pickup or delivery keeps costs down. If you'd rather it be done right and fast, our crew preps the soil, lays the sod in a tight brick-stagger pattern, and rolls it so it roots evenly. Either way, it's fresh from our field, not a big-box pallet that's been sitting on a lot.
